Vijayawada-based photojournalist T. Srinivasa Reddy, popularly known as T.S. Reddy, has been selected for the Master of Photojournalism Award by the India International Photographic Council (IIPC), an associate partner of the Photographic Society of America (PSA).
The international honours were announced on Wednesday (August 19), on the occasion of the 187th World Photography Day.
Mr. Reddy is among four photographers from India selected for the honours. Sanjay Kumar of Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi, and photojournalist T. Narayana have also been selected, while noted photographer Raghu Rai has been nominated for a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award. The awards will be presented in New Delhi on December 24.
Mr. Reddy began his association with IIPC as an ordinary member and later became chairman of its Journalism and Colour Photography wings. He has helped organise national and international photo salons and has been associated with India Today’s English and Telugu editions. He currently serves as chief photojournalist of Snaps India.
With more than four decades of experience, Mr. Reddy contributed to the documentation and publication of material on the First World Telugu Conference in 1975 and the Divi Seema Cyclone in 1977. He also published “The Leader Through the Lens”, documenting Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s political journey.
His honours include the Ramnath Goenka Award (2007), Kalaratna-Hamsa Puraskar (2016), Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (2021) and Master of the Australian Photographic Society (2026).
