Got Question about the News?
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed a dedicated team to spearhead its Gen Z outreach programme, coming days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed ministers to strengthen engagement with the youth through direct interactions and online platforms.
The team includes BJP national president Nitin Nabin, national general secretaries Smriti Irani and Vinod Tawde, Gujarat Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Chhattisgarh Minister OP Choudhary and several other leaders, a top party source told news agency .
The saffron party is expected to begin the outreach programme with Gen Z soon, as part of its efforts to establish a more direct and sustained dialogue with the younger generation. This initiative comes as the opposition has also stepped up its engagement with young voters, with Rahul Gandhi leading the “Chhatron Ki Goonj" movement in several states.
The BJP stepped up its engagement with Gen Z in the aftermath of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led protests in Delhi, after PM Modi instructed ministers to connect more with the youth.
The outreach programme is expected to understand the aspirations, concerns and expectations of Gen Z, while providing a platform for young people to engage directly with BJP leaders and share their views on multiple issues.
The party is also expected to use the initiative to strengthen its connection with young voters and expand its outreach through interactions, discussions and other engagement activities.
Earlier today, Nabin held the first introductory meeting of the party’s newly appointed office bearers following a major organisational reshuffle. The meeting brought together senior party leaders and the new team as the BJP worked on its political and organisational roadmap.
The session was attended by National Organisational General Secretary BL Santhosh, programme in-charge Vinod Tawde, state BJP presidents, state in-charges and organisational general secretaries. The meeting formally marked the beginning of the new team of BJP office-bearers.
All six stanzas of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ were recited ahead of the meeting. Both old and new office bearers were part of the meeting, with discussions focused on the BJP’s organisational strategy and political roadmap.
The BJP's Gen Z outreach programme is expected to begin soon. It aims to strengthen engagement with young people across the country by understanding their aspirations, concerns, and expectations, and providing a platform for direct interaction with BJP leaders.
The BJP will connect with Gen Z online by creating content tailored to their preferred social media platforms, such as Instagram, and by using short-form videos and reels to deliver government policy messages. The party aims to engage with young people in their own language and understand their aspirations and concerns.
The key goals of the BJP's new Gen Z outreach team are to strengthen engagement with young people across the country, understand their aspirations, concerns, and expectations, and provide a platform for them to engage directly with BJP leaders and share their views.
