Two undated videos featuring 19-year-old Kunal Chandwade and his mother, Sangeeta Chandwade, have surfaced on social media after the two died in a tragic incident at a hill in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

One clip shows Kunal having tea with his mother, while another captures him washing her feet and seeking her blessings.

Kunal, Sangeeta and his 48-year-old father, Murlidhar Chandgude, died on Friday afternoon after an argument over an iPhone led to a series of fatal falls from Kohdya Dongar.

The incident began around 10 am, when Kunal went up the hill after an argument with his parents over a dispute regarding an iPhone.

Concerned about his safety, Murlidhar and Sangeeta, accompanied by other locals, went to the hilltop and tried to convince their son to return home.

Around three hours later, Murlidhar approached Kunal and attempted to pull him away from the edge. The two reportedly lost their balance and plunged into a 250-foot gorge.

Sangeeta, who witnessed her husband and son fall, then jumped from the hill moments later.

All three, residents of the city’s Zalta Phata area, died at the spot.

Another video has emerged showing Sangeeta pleading with Kunal and making desperate attempts to bring him away from the edge.

In the footage, Kunal can be seen standing near the edge while Sangeeta sits a few feet away, crying and urging him to move towards her.

She then prostrates herself before her son in an attempt to persuade him to step away. When that fails, she gets up and reaches out her hand towards him.

As Kunal appears to move closer to the edge, Sangeeta quickly steps back.

She later moves towards another edge of the hill, seemingly threatening to jump herself, before people nearby pull her back.

Officials said Sangeeta repeatedly assured Kunal that the family would help him resolve his problems, but he refused to listen.

“Mom, no one listens to me. I have no interest in living. There is no solution to my life; nothing is going to get better," he told her.
