The stray dog menace in Beed city has raised fresh concerns over the safety of children and residents after a three-year-old girl was attacked while playing outside her home. The incident took place in Shivtej Nagar in the Dhande Nagar area.

The girl, identified as Shivanshi Rameshwar Gholap, suffered serious injuries to her face and required 12 stitches. Shivanshi is currently undergoing treatment at Janai Hospital in the Nagar Naka area.

The attack has triggered panic among residents, with parents worried about allowing their children to play outdoors amid the rising number of stray dog attacks.

A similar incident was reported last month on Dhanor Road, where a pack of stray dogs attacked a young girl standing at the entrance of her home. The dogs dragged her onto the road.

CCTV footage of the attack later surfaced, sparking strong public anger over the municipal administration’s handling of the stray dog problem.

Another series of attacks was reported last week in Beed’s Mominpura Peth area, where several residents were bitten by stray dogs.

The latest attack in Dhande Nagar has once again put the spotlight on the municipal administration and its efforts to control the stray dog population. Residents are demanding immediate action, questioning what measures authorities are taking to prevent further attacks.
